For those who haven’t heard the news… we won. There will be no high rise condo built in our beloved historic neighborhood — at least until the next battle arises, which of course is inevitable. But we are ever-ready to defend our city and our neighborhood again if and when the time comes.
I want to personally thank all of my neighbors, as well as friends — both near and far — who helped us win this fight. I especially wanted to offer my heartfelt thanks to the members of the New Orleans City Council who voted unanimously in our favor.
With love from yr pal,
Louie

Wahoo!! I may not live there (soon, very soon ) I am Thrilled this was not allowed to go further!!!
Thanks! Of course we always have to be on guard around here about things like this, but hopefully the Marigny is getting the reputation of a neighborhood that is too much trouble to mess with 🙂
